Paul Benson, Chief Executive Officer, has over 25 years experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining Troy in October 2007, Paul spent the previous 7 years with BHP Billiton, based in Chile from 2004, where his most recent role was Chief Development Officer for BHP Billiton Base Metals and a member of the BHP Billiton Base Metals Executive Committee. Before that Paul worked with Rio Tinto and RGC. Paul has a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Exploration Geophysics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining, both from the University of Sydney, and a Sloan Masters of Science in Management from the London Business School.
Ken Nilsson, Executive Director Project Development - joined Troy in 1997. Ken has over 35 years international mine construction and production experience. Ken was responsible for the construction and development of Troy's Western Australian operations at Sandstone. He then relocated to Brazil to oversee the building of the Sertao Mine in Goias state. In 2007, Ken led the team responsible for the relocation of the Sertao plant and the development of the Andorinhas Mine. Since 2009 Ken has been based in San Juan, Argentina and managed the development of Troy's Casposo operation. He is currently responsible for the development of the Casposo underground mine.
Peter Doyle, Vice President Exploration & Business Development - joined Troy in 2005. Peter has over 30 years international experience in all aspects of mineral exploration from regional reconnaissance to detailed prospect evaluations throughout Canada, United States, Mexico, Australia, Indonesia, China and South East Asia. As Project Manager for P.T. Freeport Indonesia supervised regional exploration in the Central Highlands of Irian Jaya that resulted in the delineation of the Wabu Gold Deposit. Since joining Troy Peter has been responsible for the company's exploration in Australia, Mongolia, Brazil and most recently Argentina. In 2012, Peter relocated to Canada and is now based in Troy's new Toronto office.
David Sadgrove, Chief Financial Officer and Joint Company Secretary. David is an Australian Chartered Accountant, trained with Ernst & Young Audit. He has over 20 years' experience in accounting, finance and taxation management for listed multinational corporations both within Australia and the United Kingdom, including foreign exchange, treasury management and compliance across foreign jurisdictions and with dual listings in North America.
Andrew Storrie, Chief Operations Officer, has over 20 years international mining experience in underground narrow vein and underground massive ore mining and open pit and offshore mining operations. Andrew commenced his career working at the South Crofty mine in Cornwall before working for 10 in years in Africa and Canada for De Beers and Falconbridge. Prior to joining Troy as the Brasil Operations Manager in July 2009, he has held mine construction and management roles in South America and West Africa. Andrew has a Bachelor of Mining Engineering (Hons) degree from the Camborne School of Mines, Exeter University.
Stacey Apostolou, Company Secretary has previously acted as Finance Director to an ASX/AIM listed company, has held finance and company secretarial roles for publicly listed companies within the mining and exploration industry and has over 25 years relevant industry experience. Ms Apostolou has been responsible for the corporate, treasury, finance, accounting and administration functions for these companies.
